The winner is drawn by your browser’s crypto generator before the wheel moves. Each spin leaves a receipt anyone can re-check.
Pick the tool for the job
The wheel above is the quick one: type what you are choosing between and spin. For anything more specific, each tool has its own page and remembers its own list.
- Wheel of names for a class or a group, with the winner leaving the wheel after each spin.
- Random name picker when you need several winners at once or the list runs to hundreds.
- Team generator to split a list into teams whose sizes differ by one at most.
- Coin flip, dice roller and random number generator for a quick draw with no list.
- Yes or no wheel for a straight answer, and the decision matrix for choices that deserve more than luck.
How a draw works here
When you press Spin, the page asks the browser for 32 random bytes from crypto.getRandomValues. That is the seed. The winner is computed from the seed with SHA-256, and only then does the wheel start turning, towards the slice that already won. A slow spin, a fast spin and no spin at all give the same odds.
The seed, the list and the winner go into a receipt. Send its verification link to anyone and the Verify page repeats the calculation in their browser. If a single name was changed after the draw, the check fails.
What a receipt cannot tell you
A receipt shows that a result follows from a seed and a list. It cannot show that the organiser drew only once, because each draw creates a new seed on the organiser’s device. For a giveaway where trust matters, draw in front of the audience or record the screen, and publish the verification link afterwards.
